Basketball Blitz

The University of Ulster Sports Outreach programme has hosted a ‘Basketball Blitz Day’ for Edmund Rice College.  University of Ulster Sports Outreach Officer Robert Ford coordinated the day at Edmund Rice for year 8 pupils at the school.  The day was full of fun and games with more than 45 pupils forming over 9 teams taking part.  Year 8 pupils received excellent coaching from qualified coaches including players from the University of Ulster Basketball team the UU Elks.  This also included 6ft 6” American College Basketball player Adrian Gross who is studying at Jordanstown and works part time for the Sports Outreach Programme.
