BT Ulster Colleges awards 2007 BBC studios Blackstaff house

The BT GAA Ulster Colleges captain’s awards night took centre stage last Friday at the BBC Blackstaff studios and was hosted by the BBC’s very own Jerome Quinn. Edmund Rice College were called to the stage three times to collect awards for both hurling and football and at the end of the night the mothers of all 30 captains were called to be presented with an award in recognition for their contribution as mothers throughout the year. It was an immensely enjoyable evening and one in which Edmund Rice has been invited to for the last six years in honour of our championship winning sides. The following pupils were honoured in the ceremony for 2007:

Stephen Fitzimmons  – Captain YR8 Ulster football blitz winners

Ger Crossey – Captain Senior Football Nolan Cup Champions and All-Ireland semi-finalists

Paul Baker – Captain YR12 Ulster Hurling blitz Champions
