An Easter message from Mr Berne
Good afternoon everyone.
I hope everyone is safe and well.
Online learning has now finished until Monday 20th April, affording staff, pupils and parents a well earned break!
We have been blown away by our pupils, parents, guardians and community over the past number of weeks as we made an extraordinary transition. The support has been incredible and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you.
I would also like to thank the staff at Edmund Rice College. People often comment that you can feel the care when you walk through the doors of our school.
Despite the doors being closed over the past few weeks as we know it, the care for our pupils, families and each other has continued.
I am very proud of our staff and I know that for after Easter they are preparing even better learning experiences for you all.
This week is Holy Week. It is a time of prayer and preparation for Easter. We remember the suffering of all those affected by COVID-19. Blessed Edmund Rice pray for them.
We also remember all our past pupils, family members and even current pupils and staff who are working in the NHS or volunteering on the front line.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers. We are also reminded during Holy Week that it is a time of hope.
I hope that all our school community remain safe and I hope that we can see you all soon.
All our teachers miss you greatly!
Take care and God bless.
Mr Berne.
