Edmund Rice College Student Council
NEW YEAR 8’S ELECTED TO THE COUNCIL.
After weeks of campaigns, manifestos and speeches, the Year 8’s have finally spoken and elected 3 new members to the Student Council.
The winning candidates are as follows:
Niall Moore 30 votes
Conal Newell 7 votes
Cormac Duffy 7 votes.
The new Year 8 Student Councillors are looking forward to getting started and they have big ideas for making Edmund Rice College an even better school.

What I want to achieve with the Student Council this year:
I want to make sure the yard is cleaner after break time and lunchtime to keep the birds away. I also would like some more sports in the school such as tennis and golf. I will strive to ensure I am doing what my other Year 8’s want as I am representing them. I will make Edmund Rice College a better school.

What I want to achieve with the Student Council this year:
I am delighted to be a new Year 8 Student Councillor. I want to thank the Year 8 students for voting for me and I will not let them down. I promise I will make Edmund Rice College a more Eco friendly school. I will do my best to reduce litter, to make the toilets better and to make your school an even better school. I will represent my year group the best I can and speak for others.

I want to give my fellow peers a chance to give their ideas and have a say. After all, they voted for me to represent them! I will try my best to keep Edmund Rice College a clean, safe and friendly school with a healthy environment for all Students. I am really looking forward to commencing my work in the Council.
