Good afternoon everyone.

Another week of remote learning ends as we get closer to the return of some pupils to Edmund Rice College for face-to-face teaching.

We cannot wait to welcome our Year 12-14 pupils back on Monday 22nd March.

Next week, the Executive will meet to discuss the return of our other year groups and we will keep you informed. We hope to see everyone back through the doors of ERC as soon as possible.

Well done to everyone on all the work completed this week. You continue to blow us away with your efforts and our families should be extremely proud! Enjoy the well-earned rest this weekend. You deserve it!

We have been delighted to welcome back many past pupils of ERC on our social media platforms this week to speak about their time in our school.

They are all great ambassadors for ERC and we are extremely proud of them. ‘Care’ is the cornerstone of our ethos and it was great to hear so many of our past pupils and indeed parents speak about their experiences of this in our school.

Vanessa Tweed, our EA Youth Worker was our welcome guest for #Wellbeing Wednesday to explain the importance of stepping out of your comfort zone and challenging yourself, something we always encourage with our pupils.

Cahir Clancy of SONAS Mental Wellness also kindly shared his journey with useful advice and inspiration. A huge thanks to both for their very beneficial contributions.

As we approach the return of our Year 12-14 pupils, I would like to remind you of some key dates and information for the next few weeks, as per our school calendar:

Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th March- School holidays. Remote learning will not be set and supervised learning in school will not be available on these days.

Friday 19th March- Staff Development Day. Remote learning will not be set and supervised learning in school will not be available on this day.

Remote learning for Years 8-11 and supervised learning will recommence on Monday 22nd March.

Monday 22nd March- Year 12-14 pupils return to ERC for face-to-face teaching. Pupils should arrive in school for 9am.

Thursday 1st April- School closes at 12:30pm for Easter holidays. School buses will not run on this day.

Monday 12th April- Staff Development Day. Remote learning will not be set and supervised learning in school will not be available on this day.
