Happy Half Term!
Good afternoon everyone.
Happy Half-Term!
The end of a very challenging, yet once again, very successful term in Edmund Rice College.
We are very proud of our pupils and our families for their efforts over the past six weeks in such difficult circumstances.
I always reflect on the highlights at the end of every half term. During this half term, we held our Virtual Open Night and launched our online Community Hub.
Further stand outs were the provision during Mental Health Week, the supervised learning provided by staff on a daily basis, the excellent remote learning opportunities given to all our pupils and the care shown by our pastoral teams throughout.
I would also like to thank our parents for their unrivalled support and for demonstrating the togetherness that epitomises our entire school community when things are difficult. There are better times ahead!
Edmund Rice College closes its physical and virtual school today at 3pm for February half-term.
The school will reopen for our vulnerable and children of key workers at 9am on Monday 22nd February.
Our remote learning provision will recommence on Monday 22nd February for all year groups through the Google Classroom platform.
Until then, we hope that all our pupils, staff, parents and families have a well-deserved and restful break.
As you close the computers down this afternoon, you should be very proud!
Take care and God Bless,
Mr Berne.
