Irish evening in Edmund Rice College
13th Mar 2014
Edmund Rice College held it’s annual Irish night at the school last week and provided old and young from the North Belfast community with the chance to celebrate ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’ in style.
Those who attended were treated with exhibitions in Irish dancing, traditional Irish music, Irish drama & poetry and a wide selection of Irish food and drink. The night ended with a céilí and organiser Fiona McDonald said it was a huge success “It was great to see so many people of different ages and ethnic backgrounds get an opportunity to enjoy the delights of our Irish culture. It is one of the most popular nights here at the school and it is a pleasure to help organise the evening.”
