UPDATE ON SCHOOL CLOSURE
Dear Parents & Guardians.
Following an emergency meeting of our Board of Governors this morning I am writing to inform you that pupils will not be required in school from Wednesday 18th to Friday 20th March 2020.
The wellbeing of our pupils, families, staff and community is of paramount importance to us.
Staff will utilise these reassigned staff development days and exceptional closures to finalise our contingency plans to prepare work for our pupils should we have a lengthy school closure.
I have enclosed instructions as to how pupils can access this work via Google Classroom whilst at home via email.
Learning packs in various subjects have also been distributed to pupils over the past week to ensure pupils can continue their learning.
I would like to thank you for your support as I appreciate that this is not an ideal situation.
This decision is made in what we believe is in the best interest of our entire Edmund Rice College community. Our main priority remains the health and wellbeing of all our pupils and staff at this time.
This situation will be reviewed on Friday 20th March. It is my hope that we will return to school as soon as possible.
In the meantime, I hope that everyone remains safe and well.
Take care and God bless.
Yours faithfully,
P Berne
