Photography is currently offered at A Level and is aimed at creative students with an interest in photographic media techniques and processes. The course enables students to develop their creative skills and contextual knowledge in the field of photography.
Students are asked to research and produce work on a variety of topics such as:
-Portraiture
-Landscape photography (working from urban, rural and/or coastal environment)
-Still life photography, working from objects or the natural world
-Documentary photography, photo journalism
-Experimental imagery
-Photographic installation, video, television and film.
Students have the opportunity to use a variety of cameras and photographic equipment including DSLRs, studio lights, backdrops etc. They have the opportunity to experiment with digital imaging through the use of photoshop in our suite of Apple Mac computers.
